Our Version of the Red Couch Photo

Since the White Swan Hotel on Shamain Island is currently closed for renovations we are all staying at the China Hotel off the Island, but still in Guangzhou.  Traditionally families take a picture of all of the babies in their group on the red couch at the White Swan, but we made do with a different couch.  I was expecting Natalie to cry when I put her on the couch since she is such a clingy girl, but she seemed very relaxed during the photo shoot.  I think it helped that she was sitting between two babies.  She loves to be around little babies and always wants to hold their hands as you will see in some of our other group photos below.

Look at all those cuties on the couch. Precious! Natalie seems to have such a sweet personality.

Love the pictures of your beautiful butterfly.

My (Chinese) daughters - both 5 were sitting on my lap while we were looking at your blog (they think your Katie at 4 months looks like our dog Benzie) and were laughing about a dog called Katie (because one of my daughters is named Katie), anyway, when we got to the final picture of the three of you, Katie asked me "Is that her husband?" I said yes and she replied "he looks so young! He looks like a teenager!"

I thought you might get a chuckle out of that.

I've so enjoyed seeing your family come together in China. Natalie is a beautiful little girl and looks like she's got a definite spark under that calm and quiet exterior.

I am so happy to see that you all "found a way" for your couch photo, hee hee, it really is a rite of passage. I am sure that Natalie will appreciate the photo when she is older. Is there any buzz as to when the swan will be up and running again?
