Best of Breed Part 2
Next, Louis went on to compete in the working group. There was some tough competition and I really wasn't even thinking of him winning. When they announced that the Newfoundland was the winner I was so surprised...just like I was the first time he won the working group. Gary and I were so excited. Bill and Bonnie, breeders to both of our Newfies, were there too and were thrilled that Louis won.

Waiting our turn for Best in Show Judging
Beautiful LouisHe didn't win best in show, but he had a fun time. Although by this time it was 9:00 pm and he was quite hungry and getting a little tired. He was a trooper though.

Yay, Louis! Congratulations!!
WOw this is so cool! congrats -- you are a handsome boy and obviously have the heart to go with it! Glad you got a good toy at the end too!
AWESOME!!! That is so cool Charity! Give Louis a congratulatory hug and kiss for us! We are so proud of him! There was some stiff competition but clearly he was the most beautiful pup there!
He looks like he really enjoys the ring. So happy to be there. The bond between the two of you is very sweet too. Heartwarming!
Wow. Louis looks so professional and mature! You've done a great job with him: he has much better manners than Ari, and she's two years old!
Great work. And it's so cute that they give the pups stuffed toys as awards: that's much better than a trophy!
Kathryn,
I agree he does look pretty professional for a not quite 5 month old puppy. The funny thing is he usually doesn't even walk that great on a leash, but each time I take him in the ring he does a beautiful job. I'm sure you can tell from the video that he is really enjoying himself. I thinking showing is just in his blood. Both of his parents are Champions and one of his greatgrandfathers is Josh, the Newf that won Best in Show at Westminster in 2004.
Yah for Louis ! The kids loved all the videos ! I told them we were coming over Saturday ! They were so excited, jumping up and down !!!
Charlotte and crew
