Dark Days at the Happy Haus

Our dear Gary unexpectedly left this earth on Monday, October 7th. We miss him so much but are grateful that he is at peace.  While death may have physically separated us, our love was strong enough that we know we will always be together in spirit.

It will take quite a long time to come to terms with the fact that this beautiful human being, amazing husband, and loving father is no longer going to be here when we arrive home to tell us "Welcome to the Happy Haus".  We will keep up the tradition in his honor.

Goodbye my love...

Oh Charity, I am so, so sorry to hear this sad news. I couldn't believe what I was reading. My heart aches for you and Natalie...especially sweet Natalie. I know you will have so many wonderful stories to share with her of her Daddy when she's older. I pray that you will find comfort and peace in your own time. Thinking of you.

I had to go back and read several times for it to sink in. I am so sorry for your loss. I have followed your journey for several years and loved periodically checking in on your Happy Haus. I brought my Emma home a little over 3 years ago as a single parent, so I know a little about what life is like day to day, without the grief. Prayers to you & sweet Natalie.

To all who loved Gary:

We find ourselves in this new place where sharing our family with others who share an interested in adoption, we touch lives, we set examples and we share the love of families. My heart is heavy for you and Natalie as you move through this unimaginable grief and loss. Keeping your family in our thoughts and prayers and when you are ready, hoping we can provide some measure of support as your family grows to accept all that is ahead. Hugs, Kathleen

Charity--there are no words to address a loss as profound as this, so I won't try. But I will hold Natalie and you in the light.

I have just learned of the death of Gary

We know that one day there ends for all of us.

These few words, though sincere, will not change this sad state of affairs.

Yet I wish to express my deepest sympathy.

Charity
