I've Been Framed

Mama's tryin' to blame this big mess on me, but I say it's the table's fault. While Mama and Daddy were eating dinner outside the other night Louie and I were relaxing near their feet. When our neighbor dogs came out on their porch I decided to go bark a friendly "Hello" to them. When I tried to stand up the table attacked my leg and I got really scared. As some of you may know, Newfoundland dogs are the strongest dog breed in the world. I proved that even though I'm a girl Newf I can pull a whole table over along with a chair with a human sitting in it! In fact, I made such a dramatic crash that three welds on the table were broken... take that you naughty table!

I think the real tragedy in this situation was that Mama and Daddy grabbed the dishes right before they crashed to the floor. I think I should have at least gotten some table scraps out of the deal. Come to think of it I NEVER get table scraps...what's up with that?

Love to all,
Katie

P.S. Mama says to tell you that all though she was quite worried that I had hurt myself during this little catastrophe I am perfectly fine :)

"Pup"arazzi

On a recent trip to the "Big Dam Newfie Behind"...
Photobucket

...Just kidding, we really meant the "Big Dam Bridge"...

...We thought it would be a perfect opportunity to give you all a glimpse into the public lives of Katie and Louie, Newf superstars extraordinaire. Everywhere they go Louie and Katie are constantly stalked by the "Pup"arazzi and an endless supply of fans. Since they are both attention hogs (especially Louie) they don't mind a bit. They have had their pictures taken hundreds of times, so they are very adept at posing for the camera.

Three Cheers for Louie's Third Rally Obedience Excellent Qualification & New Title!!!

Early yesterday morning, Gary, Katie, Louie and I drove three hours to Paragould Arkansas so that Louie and I could participate in a Rally Obedience competition. I am always nervous at these shows, but the fact that we had to do six hours of driving for just a few minutes in the ring made me more nervous than usual. Although Louie was a bit distracted and slow to respond a few times, overall I think he did very well. His tail was wagging the entire time and when he got distracted he was able to get back on track. We got our third green qualifying ribbon in Rally Obedience Excellent along with a blue first place ribbon. Best of all Louie earned his Rally Obedience Excellent title. He is now officially: Wilbon's What a Wonderful World RE CGC TDI. We are as proud as can be :-)

Louie during his Honor exercise. The little Pom was very close. Louie took a look at her, but didn't break his sit stay.

On the way home we took a break near some rice fields.
